Issue Description
- The Gemini app on my phone works perfectly ✅
- However, when I try to open the Gemini website version (gemini.google.com) on my computer, I encounter an error, a blank screen, or the page becomes unaccessible ❌
- Refreshing the page, clearing the cache, and logging in again don’t solve the problem.
Solution (Personally Tested and Effective)
-
In the browser where the issue is occurring, directly visit Gemini’s “Custom Gem” creation page:
https://gemini.google.com/gems/create -
Enter any name and command for the Gem (you can just write anything; there’s no need for a detailed configuration).
-
Click the “Save” button in the top-right corner of the page.
-
Return to the Gemini main page (gemini.google.com).
At this point, the website version should have returned to normal.
Explanation of the Principle
The essence of this approach is that by creating a new “Gem”, you are essentially forcing a refresh of the permissions and session state of your Google account in the current browser. This bypasses any potential risk control measures or cache synchronization issues that might be causing the problem on the web version of Gemini.
